What We’re Looking For
We're a future-focused company looking for an ambitious and highly motivated Head of Engineering. We're looking for someone who wants to take ownership of our technology strategy, embrace new ways of working, and lead a talented engineering team into the future.
This is not your typical Head of Engineering role. We're looking for someone early in their leadership journey who is comfortable with ambiguity, and excited by the freedom to create something new. You'll have the opportunity to build and align our team with a forward-thinking technology strategy while building the product of tomorrow.

Your Responsibilities
Define the company's technology roadmap, vision, and strategy to foster growth and innovation, aligning with overall business goals.
Lead and mentor our engineering team, building a high-performing, collaborative culture.
Align the team with our future technology strategy, embracing modern development practices and AI-assisted workflows.
Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
Create and manage the department's budgets, balancing innovation with fiscal responsibility.
Act as a technical advisor to the CEO and Board, translating complex technical issues into clear business terms.
Foster a solution-focused atmosphere, encouraging innovation, experimentation, and efficiency within the engineering team.
Build and nurture relationships with external technology partners and vendors, managing communications effectively.
After the first six months, you will have achieved the following
Developed a strong rapport with the CEO and key internal stakeholders, becoming a trusted strategic partner.
Successfully defined and begun implementing a clear technology roadmap aligned with business objectives.
Aligned the engineering team with the future technology strategy, implementing new workflows and practices.
Introduced and piloted innovative development approaches that have improved team efficiency.
Established a robust framework for evaluating and integrating emerging technologies into our product.
Built strong relationships with your team, fostering a culture of innovation, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Created clear KPIs and established regular reporting mechanisms to the executive team.
What we expect
Requirements:
English speaking (German is a plus but not required).
Role is based in Berlin.
Hybrid role, 2-3 days in the office
Qualifications:
You bring 10+ years of hands-on experience in SaaS technology companies.
But you also have some initial experience leading technical teams in roles such as Engineering Manager, or technical leadership positions.
You have a strong track record of building, mentoring, and leading high-performing product development teams.
You possess deep knowledge of modern software development methodologies, software architecture, and IT infrastructure.
You have a genuine excitement about emerging technologies, particularly AI and agent-supported development tools.
You demonstrate strong project management skills with a focus on collaboration and stakeholder management.
You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of building and maintaining effective relationships across diverse teams and with external partners.
You're comfortable with ambiguity and change, and energized by the opportunity to shape and create rather than maintain the status quo.
You have experience transforming engineering teams to adopt new technologies and ways of working.
You demonstrate a growth mindset and are hungry to make an impact – you're ambitious and early enough in your career to be excited by building something from scratch.
If you have it, it’s a plus:
Background in startups or high-growth technology companies.
Track record of successfully implementing agent-assisted or AI-powered development workflows.
Experience in the customer feedback, hospitality tech, or review management space.
